SBP-BRiMS conference will provide scholarships to a select number of participants to attend the conference (virtually or in person). Conference participants can apply for SBP-BRiMS Conference Scholarships during registration process.

Level of participation in the conference, need, and diversity will be considered when reviewing applications.

Scholarships are based on actual expenses and are not a fixed amount. Virtual participants can receive scholarship up to $150 (student early virtual registration cost) and $230 (general early virtual registration cost). In-person participants can receive scholarship up to $800.

Scholarship awardees are required to provide documentation of all expenses post conference for receiving scholarship. These details will be provided to all the conference scholarship recipients.

Eligibility for Scholarship:

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older, be an undergraduate or graduate student from any US university, regardless of their citizenship/visa status.
  • Early career researchers (postdoctoral fellows, early career faculty) are also eligible.
  • Applicants from underrepresented and/or marginalized groups including, but not limited to gender, identity, race, ethnicity, disabilities, socioeconomic status, discipline.
